The Huffington Post called this show insane. That’s a pretty good teaser. All cool people (well, almost all) were there when Karl Lagerfeld presented his collection Salzburg-set Métier d’Art at the Park Avenue Armory in NYC.
The collection was inspired by the musical Sound of Music (1965). Austria is not exactly the promised land of style, known mostly by its lederhosen and Alpine sweater but Lagerfeld transformed this spirit into an opulent pop-show.
Beyoncé completely got this feeling and attended the show in neutral ensemble accompanied by a maroon leather skirt.
Vanessa Paradis brought her daughter Lily-Rose Depp, a 15 year-old stunner, now officially a member of the fashion crowd.
All 50 shades of Dakota Johnson shined in metallic two piece outfit.
Lily Collins went for a good girl-gone-wild look.
Alexa Chung was happy about the homage to lederhosen and long gloves. Her suit was very classic yet not missing a tweedy twist.
We must confess for mistaking Benjamin Biolay with younger version of Benicio del Toro.
Not sure what Coco Chanel would have thought about Pharell’s military getup but it was sartorially in line with Lagerfeld’s Sound of Music inspiration.
